Director
Sanjay Punkhia is on the Board of NMSEZ.
He is a professional with deep insight in to formulation of
Project Execution Strategy and turning the strategy into action,
understands the market / business the Company operates in
and formulates the business models necessary to generate value.
He is a Chartered Accountant by profession.
He has spent 14 years with the Aditya Birla Group where he
was associated with developing and implementing Chemical Projects
at Nagda and Vikram Ispat in Maharashtra. He then moved on
to develop two 500 MW Power Projects for the same group. Complete
Planning, Contracts and Financing was arranged by him. In
the process, he developed the competencies in the area of
Project Cost Estimates, Project Contracts and Procurement,
Project Risk Assessment and Risk Mitigation.
He is a young, energetic and enthusiastic
person who has a natural flair for leadership and believes
in “pulling” the people forward and not pushing
them along. He has the knack to find the right talent, assign
resources and get the work done.

Director
Ajit Warty is Director on the Board of MSEZ
& NMSEZ. He is an Ex Indian Administrative Service (Maharashtra
Cadre) officer who has been in public service for nearly 40
years. He joined SEZ Company in August 2005.
Ajit Warty started his career with the Indian
Army where he worked in the field formations as well as on
staff assignments. He relinquished his commission as a Captain
after being selected for Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
As a Maharashtra cadre officer of the IAS, he has been exposed
to a very wide range of activities which inter alia covers
regulatory, developmental functions & urban development.
He worked as Assistant Collector, thereafter Collector of
a District, and Commissioner of a Division as well as Principal
Secretary of the Revenue Department. He had long tenure as
Additional Municipal Commissioner of Mumbai, Municipal Commissioner
of Pune and was also an Administrator of Nagpur Municipal
Corporation.
He was the Vice-President & CEO of the
Maharashtra Housing Road Development Authority (MHRDA) and
thereafter, as Principal Secretary of Housing and Special
Assistance Department dealing with policy issues of Public
Housing, Area Development as well as the implementation of
Urban Land Ceiling Act. He had a long and successful tenure
as the Metropolitan Commissioner of MMRDA where his responsibilities
included planning and balanced development of the entire region;
development of the Bandra-Kurla Complex, complete design and
negotiations with the World Bank for Mumbai Urban Transport
Project. He has also worked as the Principal Secretary to
the Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He was the Additional Chief
Secretary to the Government of Maharashtra, when he was appointed
the Chairman of the State Public Service Commission by the
Governor of Maharashtra.
He is a dynamic leader who has proven ability
to ensure a significant improvement in the work culture and
efficiency of the department / organization he heads, with
his management skill, sharp administrative acumen and determined
efforts.

Director
Vinay Bansal has joined as Consultant in
May 2006.
An IAS officer of 1969 batch in the Maharashtra
Cadre, Vinay Bansal retired as Secretary in Government of
India with 35 years of Government service where he held positions
as Additional Secretary Commerce; Chairman, Maharashtra State
Electricity Board; Principal Secretary to Chief Minister,
Secretary (Industry / Planning), Development Commissioner
(Industries), Sales Tax Commissioner, Director (Petroleum
and Petrochemicals).
Vinay Bansal holds a Master’s degree
in Mathematics from the University of Allahabad. He has been
a rank holder in first division throughout. He was awarded
the Chancellor’s Medal for the Best Student in the Undergraduate
Degree course. He topped in the Diploma course in Petroleum
Management in Arthur D’Little, MDI, Boston in US and
has Diplomas in Business Administration and French as well.
Vinay Bansal represented the Government
of India in United Nation’s ESCAP meeting in Bangkok
and in Joint Commission meetings with Australia, New Zealand,
Malaysia, Myanmar and Cambodia. He negotiated steel ore purchases
of MMTC with Japan and Korea and the Comprehensive Economic
Cooperation Agreement between Government of India and Singapore
in 8 rounds of talk.
He is interested in reading, chess, bridge,
badminton, crosswords, swimming and music.
Ananth
Ravi
Director
Ananth Ravi is heading the Resource Raising
Group in NMSEZ and is member of the Central Leadership Team,
which oversees the planning and execution of NMSEZ & MSEZ.
He has 26 years of cross functional experience, out of which
20 years are in the field of Corporate Finance with specialization
in Project Finance.
Ananth Ravi started his professional career
with Processing Industries and moved to Canara Bank (Merchant
Banking Division) in 1986. He worked with Canara Bank for
six years and then joined the Corporate Sector. He had held
senior positions in Corporate Finance Division of G E Shipping
and Hindustan Construction before joining Reliance Industries
Ltd in 1997. At RIL, he has effectively executed Resource
Raising and Debt Syndication for a number of projects of Reliance
Group. He has exposure in Project Conceptualization, Financial
Modelling, Project Appraisal, Project Co-ordination, Project
Management, MIS, etc.
As Head of the Project Finance Division,
he leads the relationships with the bankers, multilateral
credit agencies and other equity investors.

Parekh
Director
Parag Parekh is presently Director with MSEZ
& NMSEZ and has 25 years of extensive experience in Real
Estate and Business Commercial in the field of acquisition,
identification, deal sourcing, due diligence, financial restructuring,
and fund raising.
During his professional career, Parag Parekh
has left his imprint of leadership quality by successfully
executing major projects of Reliance like:
- Land Acquisition and Development of more than 1500
Retail Outlets of Reliance across India comprising facilities
like Petrol Pump, A1 Plaza, etc
- Acquisition and Development of Office Complex admeasuring
2 lacs sq. ft. each at Bangalore and Mumbai
- Leasing and Development of more than 1000 Reliance
Web World across India comprising facilities like Java
Green, Internet Café, Conference Room, Customer
care services, etc
- Retail LPG Commercial
The major acquisitions carried out
by Reliance under his stewardship are:
- Hotel Ranjit (Drive In) at Cannaught Place, New Delhi
- Ozone Projects at Anna Nagar, Chennai
- Philips House at Haddows Road, Chennai
He is Chief Executive Officer of
Urban Infrastructure Venture Capital Limited and is also a
Director of the following ventures:
- Ozone Projects Pvt. Ltd. (Developing 40 acres in Chennai)
- Nirmal Infrastructure Ltd. (Developing over 10 acres
in Mumbai)
- Indian Films Combine Pvt. Ltd. (developing 20 acres,
20 lakh sq ft. of mixed use development in Mumbai)
He has a brilliant academic track record
and is a Chartered Accountant - gold medallist (1981) &
LLB (1985).
