Rewas Port Project envisages the development
of a multi cargo deep water Mega Port with world class facilities.
The port will serve as a hub port for South Asia with deep
draught channel and berthing facilities for handling very
Large Containers, Dry Bulk, Light Bulk as well as Car Carriers.
This facility will provide port gateway services for NMSEZ
and MSEZ, being developed in close proximity to Rewas, manufacturing
/ process plants, logistics services, terminalling and other
common user port services. Served by a 29 km long independent
dredged channel, it will be well connected to hinterland by
rail and road. The road connectivity to the adjoining NH17,
surrounding SH/Major roads matching the type and direction
of the traffic flows to/from the port shall be provided. Rail
connectivity to Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) standards
will provided to the nearest railway Station on Panvel –
Pen section of Central Railway.

The port is being developed by M/s Rewas Ports Limited under
a concession agreement executed with the Maharashtra
Maritime Board (MMB), a Nodal Agency of Government
of Maharashtra.
The port will have the status of a Non Major port under
Indian ports Act , 1908 and will be governed by a concession
Agreement signed between MMB, Government of Maharashtra and
Rewas ports Ltd. |
